Driving History |
Kevin began his driving career with NCDCA in 2004. This year marked his return to racing after a 22 year hiatus. During his first year in a dwarf car, he won “Rookie of the Year” honors and finished tenth in points, a first for a rookie. He began to build his trophy collection with one main event win, one fast dash win and one hard charger award. He was also named “Sportsman of the Year” and elected to NCDCA Board of Directors. He was soon becoming a track favorite. Season two Kevin began racking up wins against seasoned veterans in one of the toughest group of drivers in the western states. During 2005 Kevin racked up seven heat race wins, two main event wins, finished fourth in points and received “Sportsman of the Year” honors again. Kevin was also elected as Vice President of NCDCA beginning in the 2006 season. This is the year he received the nickname “Hollywood” and it has stayed with him since. Promoters and fans alike call him Hollywood. Season three Kevin was faced with motor problems from the start. After four DNFs due to blown motors, the season was looking grim. With the motor issues finally resolved, he once again began racking up wins. However, victories this year were dampened by defeats. Blown tires, flips and wrecks, one resulting in a broken foot, the year was turning out to be a tough one. Kevin still raced up ten heat race wins, four main event wins, one trophy dash win and finished seventh in points. As Vice President for NCDCA, Kevin spent a great deal of time building relationships with track promoters and other western states club presidents. Kevin and his wife Connie began attending the Race Promoters Workshop in Reno to meet with the track promoters and set the schedule for the next season. |

Season four Kevin began competing in more of the WSDCA National and Regional events. Kevin finished fifth in WSDCA points. WSDCA consists of over 140 seasoned competitors. On the home front, Kevin continued to rack up the wins with four main event wins and thirteen heat race wins. Kevin finished second in points in the closest battle for first place the club has seen in many years. The winner was not determined until the last point’s race was run. It was exciting for the fans as well as the drivers. The tracks played up the battle for point’s midway through the season. Kevin was voted in as President of NCDCA beginning with the 2008 season. Kevin’s wife, Connie, serves as the clubs treasurer and has for the last three years. Kevin’s son Sam is the crew chief of the team and hope to jump into his own dwarf car next season. Kevin’s younger brother Bryan joined the team this year in a new dwarf car hoping to follow in Kevin’s footsteps. |

Why Sponsor Us? |
Kevin and Connie are a team, along with their children when it comes to the race team. Connie built a website during the 2004 season to reach out to the fans. The site is growing steadily and has become a resource for fans and other drivers and clubs. Connie works hard to keep the site up to date with the latest race recap and results, current point standings and information pertaining to the team and club. We have a page dedicated to sponsors and include links (when available) to their websites along with information regarding the sponsors. Driver photos handed out at each race include the same sponsor information on the back. The car is covered with sponsor logos as well. With additional funding we would be able to add the logos to the trailer as well as purchase t-shirts to provide to the fans. |
